What the assessor is actually looking for
Assessors work through a file in a fixed order, and the full cost of assessment sits early enough in that order to decide how the rest of the report is read. They are checking that the engineering is yours, that the competencies are evidenced rather than asserted, and that the narrative can be traced back to a real project with real constraints.
